This outfit of the day is just a casual one. All i did today was study & then went to Walmart for groceries.
This is my OOTD. Just wearing the GAP tank top i bought the day after Christmas with a Kirra sweater from Pac Sun.

Belt and jeans are from American Eagle

This is a smoky/neutral/glam eye.

I used this Revlon shadow quad in Beauty Spells to create my eye look.

December Birchbox!

Hello everyone! Once a month i get a Birchbox. For those of you who don't know what that is: It is a monthly subscription to high end beauty samples. you recieve about 4-5 smaples for only $10 & the best part is that it is a suprise! This is my third one:
This is the box it comes in. it is brown cardboard with hot, metallic pink accents.

it usually comes with a postcard but this month it was like a greeting card that reads: "frolic & fancy"

This is the inside of the card. The left side has a note and tells you the theme of this month & the right side gives you a list of your samples with prices of the full size products.

You can't really see this pic..It is a coupon that says "take $20 off any full sized order of $75+"

#1 Harvey Prince Yogini. I think this perfume kind of stinks, but that's just my opinion. I really like getting perfume samples so I can sample them without spending a ton on the full sized version that I might not even like.

#2 Jouer Moisturizing Lip Gloss in Birchbox Pink. This is such a cute sample: so tiny & it is the exact color of the shipping box that covers the birchbox I have pictured above.

This is a swatch of birchbox pink. It is super pigmented. I don't usually go for bright lip colors but this one is fun and I'm going to try it out.

#3 L'Oreal Professional Mythic Oil. This is one my my favorites this month. I use the Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum almost everyday so I compared it to this and I like it. When I straightened my hair, it tamed the flyaways & made it super shiny without loosing volume. I love it!

#4 Befine Gentle Cleanser. (sorry it's sideways) This is made with sugar, rice, and oat extracts so I was excited to try this on my sensitive skin. It was ok but it is a little too gentle & my face didn't feel really cleansed. It would be nice to use after my everyday facewash to soothe my winter skin.

This was a bonus! Showstoppers. These are double sided tape strips to keep your clothes in place...personally I try not to wear clothes that need tape to hold them on my body (that's just my opinion). i think they might be nice in the summertime to hide my bra straps with a smaller tank top. I put them in my purse just in case. haha

This was s 2nd bonus! EBOOST: Orange Natural Energy Booster. Its full of vitamins & minerals plus it is supposed to make you full of energy. I was excited to try this so I thought I would drink it while blogging. I took one sip and started gagging. The taste is something like that terrible cough syrup you get as a kid. blahh.
I really love getting Birchbox every month. It is a nice little suprise to find in the mailbox & is only $10. I feel like that is so worht it, even if there are products you don't always love. Let me know what you got in yours & what your favorites are!

Check it out for yourself if you aren't already signed up: http://www.birchbox.com?raf=dnify

OOTD

Hello Everyone! The past few days I have been feeling extra lazy & have worn yoga & sweat pants and i have not been fixing my hair. It seems like Christmas took all my energy. However, I woke up in a good mood this morning and I actually picked out decent clothes and did my hair. What better day for an outfit of the day?

Shirt is from forever 21, sweater is from New York & Co.

Jeans from American Eagle & i haven't picked out any shoes yet.

bracelet is from forever 21.

I used my Stila daydream palette to create a neutral eye.
Today i am probably jsut going to work on some homework, it is piling up around me. I would really like to go out shopping but I don't need anything & its cold and wet outside.

Stila Daydream palette

I recently got the Stila Daydream palette and i wanted to blog about it. Below are my swatches, they turned out really bad. possibly because my arm is incredibly pale & i used my cell phone camera. haha If you cannot see them at all, i apologize. I totally tried to give you some nice swatches so you could compare. There is a huge rage of colors and i absolutely love how the back of the box includes the names of them. They range from basic nudes/browns to purple/blue/green. you can do a multitude of eyes with this palette. The shades include matte & shimmer that can be combined for highlighting, shading, lid, and crease colors. The possibilities are endless!

This is the palette. I love that is it round & the eyeshadows are in a spiral pattern. I feel like most palletes are square so this is slightly forgein. It snaps closed. I think that combined with the wide color texture & range would make it perfect for travel.

My absolute favorite shades are #1 kitten, #3 bloom, #12 fancy. i am so sorry these didn't really show up.

so sorry these didnt realy show up either. The colors are beautiful in person.
I cannot wait to see how many different eye combos I can create with the Stila Daydream palette. :) comment me your favorites

After Christmas Shopping

Every year i go out shopping with my sister the day after Christmas. It is my favorite tradition. She is 7 years older than me & married plus she lives about 30 minutes away so I don't see her alot. Last year I had to work & didn't get to go, so this year I was overly excited. We met at Target when it opened at 7AM so we could get to all the deals. We always stock up on wrapping supplies & Christmas decorations because it is all 50% off. This year i felt like there was not a lot of stuff left over. I have no idea why, but it was a little sad. However, we fought our way back to the Christmas left-overs & found some paper, bows, and gift tags. I also scored some Scotch brand scissors for $2.50. Then we walked through the mall, & went on to Walmart, Staples, had lunch at McDonalds, & finished up at Tractor Supply (her husband is a farmer). There really weren't that many people out this year. We were done by 11:30 & we are usually out until late in the afternoon. Whatever, I had a great morning & scored some awesome sales! Here are some of my best deals:

This black & grey tank top is from GAP. It was already on sale & then an additional half off so I ended up getting it for only $5.00! Talk about a steal.

This computer bag is from Staples. Originally $69.99 but my sister let me use her Staples Rewards points that were for $30 so I got is for $40! You can't tell at all from the picture but it is a deep plum color & has a nice double shoulder strap. I have been looking for a nice computer bag since i got my laptop about 3 years ago. I am so picky, but finally found one.

These makeup brushes are actually from Walmart. they came in a huge gift set that was on sale for $10. When I got to the register they rang up for $20 but the cashier was nice and adjusted the price. The set included a small clutch-like case and a mini travel case. They are suprisingly super soft & have a label on the handle so you know what they are for.

I also bought a Starbucks gift set at Walmart that included 2 Christmas mugs, cookies, instant coffee, & flavoring. It was the last one and I was stoked because I loooove coffee. I did not include pics because I am not sure where it is right now. haha My room is seriously a hot mess.

Birthday & Christmas haul

Hello everyone! since my birthday was in November & it is so close to Christmas, I thought I would do one major haul showing my favorite items.

My birthday presents included: an ipod classic, new cd player for my car, and a chi straightener. My ipod had gone missing a few months ago and my car CD player was jammed so i missed listening to music. I had been fighting with the radio for ages and i was soo excited to get these.
This is the CD player which includes AUX & USB that is ipod compatable. Sorry the picture quality is bad.
For Christmas I got an emormous amount of presents, but my favorite part was spending time with family & friends. It is so nice to have a little time off from school & see everyone. I feel blessed :) However, I'm really disappointed that it hasn't snowed- it has been freakishly warm for December.
This is an overveiw of my smaller presents after everything was opened.

My bff got me a license plate frame & Victoria's Secret Angel perfume. We got to go out to eat & catch up on each other's lives. i used to hang out with her everyday, but now she works full time & I go to school plus work. It's crazy how busy we are.

this perfume is turning out to be my new favorite!

My boyfriend got me a beautiful ring. It has a white gold band with 3 pink diamonds, accented by white diamonds on each side. It is so delicate & I absolutely love it. Before you ask: no, it was not an engagement ring & no, it is not my birthstone. I just really like pink & I kind of picked it out. haha It also matches the necklace he got me last year. Regardless, i love him to pieces & I'm glad that he is such a perfect bf.

My family got me a ton of stuff:

Clothes:
shirts from forever 21 & skinny jeans from American Eagle

so comfy Victoria's Secret supermodel sweats

Makeup:
Urban Decay supercurl curing mascara, Urban Decay primer potion, Revlon quads: State of Grace & Beauty Spells, and Stila Daydream Palette.

Jewelry:

top two from Buckle and bottom one from Forever 21.

This was just an overview & i hope you enjoyed it. I will probably be doing a review on the Stila Daydream palette very soon!
